Description

ATTENTION , we can set this CPAP to the pressure value that was prescribed to you, so that once delivered it is immediately usable. To do so, simply, after ordering, send a Whatsapp message to the number 371.4361201 with the order number and the desired pressure value or the doctor's prescription. Alternatively, you can send an email to info@elettromedicali.it or write a message in chat.

DREAMSTATION BiPAP AVAPS Respironics

FEATURES AND PERFORMANCE:
The DreamStation Synchrony AVAPS 30 AAM device is intended to provide noninvasive assisted ventilation to patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and respiratory failure weighing more than 18 kg.
This device can be used in hospital or home settings but under medical supervision.

THERAPEUTIC MODALITIES:
The device works in the following modes:
• Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP)
• Spontaneous (S) with AVAPS function setting for adult patients only
• Spontaneous/Timed (S/T) with AVAPS function setting for adult patients only
• Timed (T) with AVAPS function setting for adult patients only
• Controlled pressure (PC) with AVAPS function setting for adult patients only
THERAPEUTIC FUNCTIONS:
Automated Airway Management (AAM)
When enabled, AAM is a feature available in S, S/T, PC and T modes. The device monitors resistance
into the patient's upper airway and automatically adjusts the EPAP delivery required to keep it open. The function
AAM allows you to adjust the EPAP level between the minimum (EPAP min) and maximum (EPAP max) settings. The IPAP level is
controlled by the support pressure (PS) setting.

Technical Features:

AVAPS
When enabled, Average Volume Assured Pressure Support (AVAPS) is a feature available in S, S/T, PC, and T modes. It helps patients maintain a tidal volume (VT) equal to or greater than the prescribed tidal volume (Volume setting in AVAPS) by automatically controlling the gradual change in pressure support (PS) delivered to the patient. The rate of change is such that the patient is unaware of these pressure changes when breathing.
The AVAPS function regulates the PS by varying the IPAP level between the minimum (IPAP min) and maximum (IPAP max) settings to match the guaranteed prescribed tidal volume setting.
If Automated Airway Management (AAM) is enabled, the AVAPS feature regulates PS by varying its level between the minimum (PS min) and maximum (PS max) settings.
As the patient's respiratory effort decreases, AVAPS automatically increases PS to maintain the prescribed tidal volume. The IPAP or PS level will not exceed the IPAP Max or PS Max values, even if the prescribed tidal volume is not reached. Conversely, as the patient's respiratory effort increases, AVAPS may decrease PS. IPAP will not decrease below the IPAP Min value, even if the prescribed tidal volume is exceeded. If the IPAP Max value is reached without reaching the prescribed tidal volume, the Low Tidal Volume alarm will sound if enabled.

Digital Auto-Trak
Digital Auto-Trak is an important ventilation feature because of its ability to recognize and compensate for inadvertent leaks in the patient circuit. Digital Auto-Trak is an automated process that maintains optimal ventilator performance in the presence of leaks. The device continuously monitors the actual circuit and adjusts an internal estimate of patient flow as natural variations in circuit leakage occur. When inadvertent circuit leaks occur, triggering and cycling algorithms ensure optimal synchrony between patient and device. It also provides a high degree of accuracy in calculating flow-based parameters, such as exhaled tidal volume.

Mask fit check
The optional Mask Fit Check feature can be enabled or disabled by your home care provider. By measuring the amount of leakage, this feature allows you to check the fit of your mask before starting therapy. Put on your mask assembly. Refer to your mask instructions if necessary. Navigate to the Mask Fit Check screen under My Setup and press the control knob to start the check.
The device will deliver a test pressure while the screen counts down for 40 seconds. A green bar indicates a good match, while a red bar indicates that improvement is needed. After the test, normal therapy will begin and the screen will display a green checkmark or a red X. A green checkmark indicates that the leak detected allows for optimal device performance. A red X indicates that the leak may affect the device's performance, but the device is still functional and will continue to deliver therapy.
Sleep progression
Each time therapy is turned off, the device provides summary information about therapy usage. The screen displays the patient's 3-Night Summary. It shows the nightly usage for the last 3 sleep sessions (measured in 24-hour periods ending at noon each day). The most recent session is displayed in the right sidebar, labeled with the number of hours of sleep. A green bar indicates the patient slept more than 4 hours, and a yellow bar indicates less than 4 hours of usage.
