Helix devices and their indicators have demonstrated that they detect faults during each cycle much earlier than other indicators/chemical integrators.
EN 285:2009 specifies that Helix tests (Hollow A) must be used as Bowie-Dick tests, as well as for batch monitoring when hospitals sterilize loads containing instruments with cavities.
Furthermore, the Bowie-Dick Helix test is mandatory for Class B Bench Top Steam sterilizers.
