The BD Insyte Autoguard cannula is a sterile, single-use device for short-term peripheral venous cannulation, designed to ensure operator safety, precision insertion, and patient comfort. Manufactured by Becton Dickinson, it is indicated for professional use in hospital and outpatient settings.

The 24G (0.7 mm) gauge with a 19 mm catheter length is particularly suitable for small veins, pediatric, geriatric, or patients with fragile venous systems. The cannula is made of BD Vialon polyurethane, a highly biocompatible biomaterial that helps reduce the risk of phlebitis and infiltration, improving tolerability and permanence in the vein.
