CALIBRATION OF BREATHALYZERS AND ELECTROCHEMICAL SENSORS
Calibration of an electrochemical breathalyzer is an essential procedure for keeping the instrument within its tolerance parameters. Calibration may be necessary every 1000 tests or at least once a year. These are statistical guidelines; depending on how the device is used, a breathalyzer may sometimes need to be calibrated before the due date.

If proper calibration is not carried out within the specified time frames, the breathalyzer will lose its accuracy and therefore produce unreliable results.

We offer this service to our customers: in addition to calibrating the instrument, all its main functions are checked. The following procedures are carried out at our laboratory:

- Functionality check.
- Breathalyzer/sensor calibration using the "Dry-Solution" or "Wet-Simulator" system.
- Cleaning/replacement of internal tubes.
- Cleaning of the sample intake pump with dry air.
- Pressure probe operation check.
- Calibration accuracy check.

To use the calibration service:
1) Prepare the breathalyzer (or just the sensor if it is a coin-operated breathalyzer), packed for collection, and attach a copy of the purchase invoice.
2) Collection from your premises will take place within 3 working days. 
3) The breathalyzer will be returned to your premises, checked and calibrated, within 5 working days.
