The Levenhuk Fatum Z500 thermal imaging monocular is a tool with a perfect balance between performance and reliability. It can be used for outdoor activities: night surveillance, search and security operations, hunting, forestry, hiking and sports. Designed with a compact format and easy to carry, it is easily held with one hand and can be used even in poor weather conditions.
Observations can be made at magnifications ranging from 1.7x to 6.8x, with a smooth digital zoom that offers great freedom of observation. The microbolometric matrix has a resolution of 400x300 pixels and a total of 6 color palettes available. There is an automatic hot spot detection feature.
In terms of detection and identification ranges, this thermal imaging monocular offers excellent performance. Larger objects, such as cars, can be detected from as little as 1700 m away, while classic hunting targets (wild boar, deer, etc.) can be detected from 450–590 m. The target can also be illuminated by a laser designator, whose operating range is limited to 200 m.
The power source is a non-removable block that includes two rechargeable batteries, for a total capacity of 6000 mAh. Thanks to this, the thermal imaging monocular has up to 5 hours of battery life at full capacity. Other design features include a tripod housing (with 1/4' thread) and a water-resistant body (IP66 rated).
The thermal imaging monocular is equipped with a built-in recorder: the videos are stored in the device's memory (16 GB). In addition, there is a rangefinder to measure the distance to various objects. This feature proves to be especially useful when camping and hunting. There is a microHDMI port, a USB Type-C port, and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for pairing with external devices. The thermal monocular supports the TargetIR mobile app, which can be used to change settings, organize your photo and video collection, or view images on your smartphone screen in real time, so you can show them to multiple people at once.
