The Nelson 8x30 Levenhuk marine binoculars are a modern model with quality optics designed especially to be used near bodies of water. The design of the binoculars uses classic Porro prisms. The classic lenses are made of BaK-4 glass. The lenses have undergone an FC treatment with numerous layers of anti-reflective coating to provide a saturated and clear image.

The robust embossed body is made of plastic. The rubber coating protects these binoculars from accidental blows and provides a comfortable grip. Nitrogen filling of the body prevents the lenses from fogging up. The Nelson 8x30 Levenhuk marine binoculars are equipped with a waterproof and floating body: if they were to accidentally end up in the water, they would not sink and prisms and lenses would not be damaged. The eyecups, which turn upwards, are especially comfortable for those who wear glasses. The interpupillary distance is easily adjustable by moving the optical tubes of the binoculars closer or further away until a single circular field is seen. Adjustment of the diopters of the eyepieces is also available. Each optical tube of the binoculars has individual focus, so it does not have a central focus wheel. The body of the binoculars has a special tripod housing.

The body of the binoculars features a compass and a built-in rangefinder. You can see the rangefinder scale in the eyepieces. The compass indicates the direction to the object. The division value is equal to 1°. The north is 360°, the south is 180°, the east is 90° and the west is 270°. The compass has battery-operated lighting.

The rangefinder is used to calculate the size (height) of the observed object or the distance from it. You can calculate an unknown parameter based on the rangefinder's indications, using a special formula.
