HEARING TEST GIMA - for the early detection of childhood deafness
The BOEL test is the only screening tool used by pediatricians to assess children's hearing abilities, and makes it possible to check their response to a sound stimulus at an early age, between 6 and 10 months. The device is based on the classic BOEL test, both in the ergonomics of its design (it fits in the palm of the hand so that the child cannot see it) and in the sound standards of the bells. The two sound stimuli reproduce a low-pitched, low-frequency sound of around 125-150 Hz and a high-pitched, high-frequency sound of around 5.0-5.1 kHz, equivalent to the BOEL test bells (86dBA, 96dBA). This makes it possible to test the child's response at these highly significant threshold limits. Easy to use, with just two buttons for selecting the two frequencies; lightweight and battery-powered.
