This is a dressing with activated charcoal with silver, enclosed in a non-adherent nylon ring. It not only masks the odor but, thanks to the activated charcoal, binds the bacteria and bacterial toxins in the dressing.

Silver 220 dressing is effective in vitro against 150 wound infection-associated microorganisms, including MRSA and VRE. An in vitro study shows that the dressing exerts effective antimicrobial activity without causing damage to host cells and without preventing fibroblast proliferation.
