ASKINA FOAM 15 X 20 CM NEW
Askina® Foam from B. Braun is a sterile, non-adhesive, two-layered hydrocellular dressing made of highly absorbent polyurethane foam, without an adhesive border.
Askina® Foam is a sterile, hydrophilic polyurethane foam for wound dressings. It features a breathable, highly absorbent, open-cell matrix in direct contact with the wound, and a water- and bacteria-resistant polyurethane outer film. In the presence of exudate, Askina® Foam helps maintain hydration around the wound, helping to maintain natural healing conditions.
It requires a secondary dressing for fixation. It can also be held in place with an elastic compression bandage.
Directions for use
It is particularly indicated in cases of lesions of vascular origin, with fragile perilesional skin.
Askina® Foam is indicated for the treatment of both superficial and deep wounds, with light to heavy exudate, such as:
• Bedsores
• Venous and arterial leg ulcers
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• First and second degree burns
Askina® Foam can also be used as an adjuvant in the prevention of pressure ulcers.
