MAGUS Metal 650 metallographic microscope BD

The MAGUS Metal 650 metallographic microscope BD is suitable for observing the surfaces of photomasks, integrated circuits, printed circuit boards, and other long and wide objects. It features a large stage that can accommodate large, fine-focus samples with a value of 0.7 μm for high-precision observations at high magnification. Brightfield, dark field and polarized light microscopy techniques. The microscope is suitable for quality control laboratories, research centers and university departments.

Optical

The trinocular head is equipped with a trinocular tube for housing a digital camera. The light/camera selector knob directs the light beam onto the camera for bright, well-detailed photos and videos that can be viewed on the external screen. The camera is not included in the basic configuration. The left eyepiece has an image adjustment dial.

Planachromatic objectives with the BD symbol are specially designed for brightfield and darkfield microscopy techniques. Lenses have a long working distance. The kit includes five lenses, one for each nosepiece housing. Each installed lens can be replaced with an optional one if required. Infinitely corrected optics with magnification from 50x to 800x. The nosepiece is oriented towards the inside of the instrument, so that the user can see which objective is inserted in the optical path.

Lighting

The reflected light illumination system is designed so that all observations are well detailed regardless of the objective used and the microscopy techniques. The light source is a 50 W halogen lamp that creates a bright, warm and even light. You can use the Köhler lighting method to adjust the lighting. Filters are included to create a colored effect and a polarization device (integrated analyzer and removable polarizer). The light source, aperture, and field diaphragms can be centered. The lighting system also includes a darkfield device.

Stage and focusing mechanism

The large 280x270 mm stage is a special feature of the microscope. It has a range of motion of 204 mm on the X and Y axis. The focus is adjusted by turning the coarse and fine focus knobs. They work smoothly and thanks to the fine focus value, operation at a high level of magnification is accurate. The coarse focus is equipped with a fixing knob and the tension of the coarse screw can be adjusted. The focusing handles are positioned at the base of the microscope so that you can assume a relaxed and comfortable position. This allows the operator to keep their hands flat on the table instead of holding them in the air.
