The Levenhuk 400B is a binocular laboratory microscope for professional use, suitable for microbiologists, medical and veterinary biotechnologists, ornithologists, ecologists or biochemists. This universal model can be used for brightfield analysis and oil immersion observations. The microscope is equipped with a durable metal body, high-quality achromatic optics and intense LED illumination with collector.
The binocular head is optimal for prolonged observations under the microscope, as it reduces visual fatigue. It can be rotated 360° around its axis, the end of the optical tube is tilted at 30°. The wide-field eyepieces provide 10x magnification and the achromatic objectives are already installed on a nosepiece and equipped with 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x magnification. The total magnification of the microscope then varies in a range between 40x and 1000x. The 40xs and 100xs lenses are equipped with a retractable spring mechanism for front lens protection. The 100xs lens can be used for oil immersion.
The stage is equipped with a mechanical translator, under the stage there is an Abbe condenser with iris diaphragm and filter holder. Even lower down is the lighting unit: a LED light with collector. The brightness of the light is adjustable. Because it is possible to use the microscope on battery power, it is easy to use the microscope even away from a power outlet.
