The digital microscope Levenhuk Rainbow D2L 0,3M, Moonstone is the perfect gift for a schoolboy. This microscope allows you to conduct a wide variety of interesting experiments both with ready-to-use slides, but also with the objects that surround us in everyday life, awakening our curiosity. Thanks to the digital camera included in the kit, you can also save the results of your searches. Even a novice researcher can capture amazing images and videos and share them with friends on Facebook or Instagram.
High-quality optics
The lenses are make of special optical glass with high transparency. All optical surfaces are treated with a multi-layer anti-reflective coating, which is why the microscope creates images of the observed sample that are always sharp, with good contrast and rich in detail. The three objectives allow for a wide range of magnifications from 40x to 400x. You can easily vary the magnification by rotating the nosepiece.
Digital Camera Features
The microscope is equipped with a modern high-quality 0.3 Mpx digital camera. The camera is inserted into the eyepiece tube (instead of the eyepiece) and then connected to the computer via the included USB cable. The magnified images of the observed samples will be shown on the PC monitor, a much more convenient view than through the eyepiece. In addition, you can take beautiful photographs and record videos of the observed samples. Almost all researchers want to share their results with others: it's easy to do thanks to the digital microscope Levenhuk Rainbow D2L 0,3M, Moonstone. Make your Facebook profile different by posting something interesting and educational, such as pictures of enlarged sugar crystals or videos of the Artemia movement. A UBS cable (included in the kit) serves as a power source for the camera and for connecting to the PC. Compatible operating system: Windows, Mac OS, Linux.
Observe transparent and opaque samples
The microscope is equipped with two high-speed illumination systems LED. Using illumination from below, transparent samples such as microorganisms present in a drop of water or thin sections of plants can be observed. The top illumination allows you to observe opaque objects such as leaves, coins, fabrics, paper and much more. Both illuminations are required for the observation of semi-transparent objects. The brightness is adjustable for a better view of each sample.
Practical design
The body of the microscope is made of quality plastic, it is much lighter than metal, but quite reliable and suitable for frequent use. The 45-degree inclined monocular head allows you to maintain a comfortable wearing position. The lighting can be powered either by battery or via a wall socket.
The camera is powered by the computer via the USB cable.
Attention: Refer to the specification table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into the 220V socket and vice versa, without using a converter. Remember that the mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V and 220–240 V in most European countries.
