Defibtech Lifeline battery - approx. 5 years
The battery, code DBP1400, has a charge that lasts approx. 5 years in stand-by and allows the delivery of 125 shocks or 8 hours of uninterrupted use. This 5-year duration includes daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly self-diagnoses of the defibrillator.

A 9 V lithium battery is supplied with this battery. The defibrillator uses this small 9 V battery for self-diagnostics so that it does not drain the large, obviously more expensive battery. The 9V lithium battery is available separately and is replaced annually.

After the battery is replaced, the defibrillator initiates a self-diagnosis. When the self-diagnosis is successful, the status indicator will flash green.
