50x magnification objective for a metallurgical microscope. Planachromatic optics form a wide, clear field of view and a 90% correct field curvature. When combined with a 10x/22 mm eyepiece, the optical system will provide a field of view of 0.44 mm. The lens corrects chromatic aberration in red and blue, and spherical aberration in green.
The lens can work with irregular samples. Its working distance has increased and is 3.68 mm. This is necessary to avoid damaging the objective lens and the specimen during observation. The lens is designed for an infinitely correct optical system. The focal length of the lens is 45mm.
The useful magnification that the microscope produces in combination with this objective is in the range of 350–700x. For the clearest image, we recommend combining a 50x/0.70 objective lens with eyepieces with 7x to 15x magnification.
