Description

This darkfield slider (plate) is suitable for MAGUS microscopes. It is designed for the study of transparent, dye-free samples, which can only be observed by darkfield microscopy techniques. The slider has two holes: one with an integrated aperture for use with darkfield techniques, the other completely free for brightfield techniques. Thanks to its design, you can quickly switch from one microscopy technique to another.

The MAGUS DFS1 slider is housed in the Abbe capacitor slot. The plate can only be used with dry (no oil immersion) and aperture lenses less than 0.9. The thickness of the coverslip should ideally be less than 0.17 mm with a coverslip no thicker than 1.2 mm. By respecting these conditions, the contrast of the image will be maximized.
