Description

This condenser is used for darkfield microscopy techniques. Its main application is the study of transparent, dye-free samples with a low light absorption index, which cannot be observed using brightfield techniques. It can only be used with dry objectives (without oil immersion) and with an aperture of up to 0.9 and magnification between 4x and 60x.

The MAGUS DF1 A 0.9 darkfield capacitor is housed in the microscope frame in place of the Abbe capacitor used for brightfield microscopy. The optimal contrast for the observed image is achieved by using a 0.17 mm thick coverslip and a 1–1.2 mm thick coverslip.
