The Ermenrich NetGeeks NU30 is an optical multimeter with VFL (visual fault locator) function that will prove to be an indispensable tool for specialists in the design, laying and installation of fiber optic telecommunication lines. With this instrument, you can measure the absolute optical power output from any signal source, measure power attenuation during fiber transmission, and detect and locate faults. This multimeter is suitable for home and professional use.
The instrument supports six wavelengths and is equipped with FC, SC and ST connectors. For a more accurate measurement of attenuation, you can set a reference level: the instrument will automatically calculate the difference between the input and output signal strength. There is a VFL function with continuous and pulse operation modes. This feature allows you to locate damaged cables or locate a specific cable. When this option is activated, the instrument starts operating in transmission mode with a wavelength of 650 nm. If a malfunction is detected, the fault point will be indicated by a red indicator.
The tool is compact and simple to use. This multimeter is powered by three standard batteries.
