Zoll CPR-D-padz - Electrodes for the Zoll AED Plus and AED Pro
The CPR-D-padz electrodes, unlike other pairs of electrodes, are assembled in a single element with the two plates attached to each other, to avoid incorrect positioning. The sensor integrated between the two plates, which is placed on the sternum when the electrodes are attached, records the depth and frequency of cardiac massage and activates the feedback function. This means that even during chest compressions, the defibrillator can give instructions, such as "press harder", or "correct cardiac massage".
CPR-D Padz plates last five years. It is recommended to replace the electrodes at the same time as replacing the lithium batteries, as both accessories have an expiry date of approx. 5 years.
The electrodes have a 1.10 meter long cable and an improved sensor. The plates made of a single piece can also be used on fleshy patients; The two plates can be spaced apart with a single tear if there is a patient with a larger chest circumference.
These electrodes are suitable for the following defibrillators:
- Zoll AED Plus
- Zoll AED Pro
For professional defibrillators of the M and R series, you need a CPR connector (8000-0370) for CPR. The electrodes work immediately for defibrillation.
The cable protrudes from the packaging so it can be pre-connected to the defibrillator when the device is in stand-by. When you connect the electrodes, the AED registers for the presence of the electrodes and you hear the message Adult electrodes.
In the case of the Zoll AED Plus, the expiration date can be protruded through the lid of the defibrillator. So it is always visible from the outside if the expiration date is not exceeded.
