What material is Airlaid + PE?
Airlaid + PE is a composite material used to produce absorbent and resistant products.
Airlaid is a nonwoven fabric made from randomly arranged cellulose fibers bonded together using compressed air. This process makes the material soft, absorbent, and fabric-like, yet stronger than traditional paper. It is prized for its high absorbency and strength, even when wet.
- PE (Polyethylene) is a lightweight, waterproof plastic film applied to the side of the material. The PE coating adds water resistance, creating a waterproof barrier that prevents liquid leakage.
