GIMA's fume extraction and filtration system is designed for use during electrosurgical procedures. The fumes generated in these procedures contain water vapor, organic gases, solid and viral particles, which can cause unpleasant odors and health hazards. This system effectively eliminates odors and reduces bacteriological and viral hazards, improving visibility during laparoscopic procedures.

The suction flow is adjustable to suit different needs. A specific function is available for laparoscopic procedures, with electronic suction control and indication of the wear status of the filters. The system uses ULPA filters with activated carbon, which are available in two variants: the BLUE filter for an initial use of 5 hours and the optional RED filter for an extended use of 20 hours. Both filters have a 7/8" connection.
