The device must be prescribed and positioned exclusively by specialized and qualified medical personnel.
Cubic pessaries, and in particular the perforated cube pessary, retain the prolapse by remaining particularly close to the vaginal walls and creating a sort of vacuum effect. An intact pelvic floor is therefore not an exclusive condition for its use.
These devices are especially indicated in cases of third and fourth degree uterine prolapse, in the presence of cystocele or rectocele, in the treatment of urination disorders or those during sexual intercourse and before surgery.
Recommended when effective support is sought during the patient's daily life (work, sports) and when the patient has a good level of autonomy in placing and removing the device (before sexual intercourse or going to sleep).
