POVI IODINE 100 is a ready-to-use aqueous solution based on Povidone-Iodine in a 10% concentration.

Disinfectant based on povidone-iodine with 10% iodine . Indicated in medical-surgical practice for general antisepsis of intact skin. Preparation and delineation of the preoperative field. Disinfection of skin areas for sampling and injection.

Active ingredient:
- Polyvinylpyrrolidone Iodine (10% Iodine) 5 g

Excipients:
- Glycerin 1 g
- Nonylphenoloxypolyethyleneoxyethanol 0.25 g
- Sodium hydroxide 0.073 g
- Dibasic sodium phosphate 0.15 g
- Citric acid 0.71 g
- Purified water qba 100 g

Field of application:
Handwashing in healthcare facilities by professional users.

Instructions for use:
The product should be used as is without dilution.
Wet your hands with water. Apply the product directly to the palm of your hand and rub your hands together for at least 1 minute, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Apply a sufficient amount of product (3 ml) to evenly lather both hands and rub them together easily for the required contact time (1 min.).
From 1 to 10 applications per day.
The use, especially if prolonged, of topical products can give rise to hypersensitivity phenomena: discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.
Avoid the simultaneous use of other antiseptics and/or detergents.

Mechanism of action and biocidal activity:
Povidone-iodine is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeasts, and viruses (adenovirus and murine norovirus). It contains approximately 10% free available iodine, which is gradually released upon contact with the substrate. Antisepsis is achieved by the free iodine through a direct oxidizing action.
POVI IODINE 100 has been tested by accredited laboratories in compliance with European efficacy standards. The product has proven bactericidal, yeasticidal, and virucidal efficacy.
