What makes this APAP machine outstanding is its multiple advanced features such as cellular connectivity, Bluetooth technology, OpiStart, and SmartRamp.

Product features
DreamStation Auto's CPAP machine is a modern-looking machine with many advanced features to increase the effectiveness and comfort of therapy. Advanced data can be reviewed on the machine's display, downloaded from the included SD card, or viewed via bluetooth on the DreamMapper app on compatible devices (not included). It is an auto-adjusting machine that automatically adjusts the pressure during the night on an exhalation breathing basis to provide the optimal pressure needed.

The DreamStation machine is a sleek WHITE color, the smallest and lightest of Respironics' System One models. The machine has a front-facing color display with a large knob to navigate the menus. Menus and settings are moved and changed by turning and pressing the dial as needed. An ambient light sensor at the top of the machine allows the machine to adjust the brightness of the screen based on the light levels in the room.
The DreamStation Auto has tray-style filters that can be easily inserted and disconnected from the machine for cleaning and replacement. The darker blue filter is a reusable filter that needs to be washed regularly, and the lighter blue is a single-use filter that needs to be replaced every 30 days or sooner if dirty.

Self-regulating pressure and Opti-Start technology
DreamStation Auto controls you throughout the night to provide the necessary pressures when events occur. The machine stays at the lower pressure of the self-adjusting range, and if an event is detected, it increases the pressure to the upper pressure of the range to support the airway. With Opti-Start enabled, the machine begins therapy at 90% of the pressure reached in the previous session to help resolve residual events that may occur at the start of therapy.

Built-in advanced features
The DreamStation Auto's CPAP includes many advanced features to help the user monitor and monitor the effectiveness of the therapy. Some of the built-in features include:

SmartRamp: Unlike a traditional ramp that constantly increases pressure over a set period of time, SmartRamp will only monitor the user and increase pressure if an event occurs. During SmartRamp if an event is required that requires the lowest pressure in the APAP range, the ramp will end. Traditional ramp is also available if desired. The APAP therapy range must be greater than 4 cm H2O to allow the ramp to be used.

Auto On/Off: The APAP DreamStation can detect if the user has the mask on or off and will start or stop therapy accordingly, if enabled.
Bluetooth Connectivity: Bluetooth is built-in to connect to the DreamMapper app to track therapy. The DreamMapper app is available on compatible iOS (iOS 6 or later) and Android (2.2 or later) devices and can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store. iOS and Android device not included.
Regular Alerts/Reminders: Every 30 days the machine will show a reminder to change the filters.

A-Flex helps mimic natural breathing patterns by lowering pressure on exhalation. The transition between inhalation and exhalation is also smoothed out, making breathing more natural. While the machine adjusts the pressure overnight, A-Flex also adjusts itself so that the desired amount of exhaust is always provided for exhalation.

Altitude compensation
This device automatically compensates for altitude up to 2,286 meters. No manual adjustment is required.
