TICKS Defense by COLPHARMA is a safe and environmentally friendly ULTRASONIC device for people that offers effective protection against
ticks and fleas.  COLPHARMA has applied its intermittent ultrasound technology to an innovative device that allows to protect the people who wear it from ticks and other parasites such as fleas. The high-frequency sounds (above 20 KHz) emitted by the device are not audible to the human ear, but are disturbed by the ticks that move away.  The intermittent ultrasonic emission ensures better repellent effectiveness and avoids habituation. Suitable for outdoor use, it offers protection for people up to 2.5 m and thanks to its practical clip it can be applied directly to clothing.

INTERMITTENT ULTRASONIC EMISSIONS
Ultrasounds are high-frequency sounds (above 20 Khz) usually inaudible to the human ear but are disturbingly felt by many insects, parasites and rodents that move away from environments, people and pets.

Emissions at a constant frequency have been shown to cause addiction and reduce the repellent effect over time. COLPHARMA devices, thanks to an innovative technology, emit intermittent ultrasounds that do not generate addiction and improve the repellent effect.

ULTRASONICS TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT

Sonic emissions are low-frequency sounds, usually slightly audible to the human ear but very annoying for some insects including mosquitoes.

The Sonic anti-mosquito emissions reproduce the noise of the male's wings, driving away the female mosquitoes, the ones that "bite", in search of the blood necessary for the reproduction and development of the eggs.

To ensure better repellent effectiveness and avoid mosquito addiction, a new Variable Sonic emission technology with modulated frequencies and intensities has been developed.
