What is liposome?
A liposome is a naturally occurring chemical structure that contains an aqueous solution containing hydrophilic solutes that would otherwise be unable to pass directly through cell membranes (which are, in fact, hydrophobic). Hydrophobic substances can also be dissolved within the lipid bilayer, allowing a liposome to transport both hydrophilic and hydrophobic substances.
