Suture "Monocryl Plus by Ethicon. Resorbable antibacterial - synthetic - monofilament.

Monocryl Plus is an absorbable antibacterial synthetic suture that combines the advantages of a monofilament suture (e.g. a smooth passage through the tissue) with a predictable resorption time.

 It is composed of polyglecaprone 25, which is a copolymer of glycolide and E-caprolactone. 

Monocryl has low tissue reactivity, maintains high tensile strength, and has a half-life of 7 to 14 days.

- 1 week = 60%
- 2 weeks = 30%
- 4 weeks = 0%

Monocryl Plus suture is fully hydrolyzed within 90–120 days. Monocryl Plus has a similar consistency to nylon suture material, and when removed from the package, it may have some degree of "memory" or coil.
