SURFACE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM:
This ultrasonic device is designed with a NO-CONTACT indication.
This is an essential feature to protect the patient (and the ultrasound head) from overheating. Unfortunately most machines would show the NO-CONTACT indication and stop dispensing within 1 second if there is no skin contact.
Therapists would like to work without interruption and a very short NO-CONTACT indication is sometimes annoying.
The real problem is to prevent the ultrasonic head from overheating, thus allowing a slightly longer NO-CONTACT time.
US13 is designed with a new ultrasound head that will dissipate excess heat if contact with the patient's skin is not ideal. Inside the US13 head is a next-generation microprocessor that is controlled by a complex algorithm called SEC (surface emission control).
The SYSTEM allows high-power ultrasound to be emitted onto the skin even in the case of small/limited skin contact without overheating the patient, tissues and keeping the temperature of the head under control.
