The combination of the earcup with the floating membrane allows you to hear low- and high-frequency sounds by applying lighter or more pronounced pressure on the earcup.
The stainless steel earcup is sensitive to sounds at lower frequencies. Its inner side is polished, so as to be smooth and reduce the attenuation of sounds during auscultation.
