Ready for use right out of the box
The DefiSign LIFE AED is a defibrillator developed specifically for the lay rescuer. When the lid is opened, the defibrillator starts automatically and provides clear instructions to the rescuer. On the AED, there are images that accompany the voice instructions, lighting up one at a time. In this way, the rescuer is guided through the entire resuscitation process.
 
The electrodes are pre-connected to the AED and can be applied quickly. The pads have a 3-year lifespan and the defibrillator keeps track of their expiration date, thanks to radio frequency identification (RFID) that transmits a signal when they expire. This feature allows the operator to be alerted early when electrodes need to be replaced. For pediatric resuscitation, there are special electrodes that can be placed in the rear compartment of the defibrillator. Once the pediatric electrodes are connected, the energy of the shock is reduced and adapted to a minute body. Pediatric electrodes also have a lifespan of about 2 years.
 
The Defisign AED is equipped with an internal battery that ensures the correct timing of each intervention. This battery has a lifespan of about 6 years. The normal AED battery has a lifespan of approximately 5-6 years (depending on usage). The AED signals via a service LED when the batteries need to be replaced.

Status Indicators
There are LEDlights on the AED. If the status indicator flashes green, the DefiSign LIFE is ready for use. If, on the other hand, one of the indicators on the side remains on continuously, then there is an anomaly. In the manual there is a detailed examination of the problems that may be encountered. Generally, the warnings concern the expiration of the battery or plates.

Thanks to its high resistance to moisture and dust, the defibrillator can be used both outdoors and indoors. If the defibrillator is placed outdoors, it must be placed in a display case suitable for outdoor environments.
