The Aeroneb Solo System, consisting of the Aeroneb Solo Nebulizer and the Aeroneb Pro-X Control Module, is a portable system for continuous or intermittent nebulization of medication during mechanical ventilation or positive pressure respiratory support. The Aeroneb Solo system is suitable for use on infants, children and adults.
The OnQ Aerosol Generator, contained in the nebulization unit, consists of a micro-perforated cap plate and a vibrating element, whose micropump activity nebulizes the drug. A high number of holes (about 1000), made with very high precision, guarantees precise control of the size of the aerosol particles. Thanks to the force of gravity, the drug comes into contact with the aerosol generator, where the liquid is pushed through the microperforated plate and transformed into an aerosol.
The Aeroneb Solo Nebulizer has been designed to be compatible with standard breathing circuits. During operation, it does not require any modification of ventilation parameters and allows medication to be topped up without interruption of respiratory support. A T-adapter allows the nebulization unit to be connected to the patient circuit.
The tee adapter fittings are standard 22mm male and female (conical ports) compatible with standard ventilator patient circuits.
The Aeroneb Pro-X Control Module allows for intermittent (30 min. cycle) or continuous (continuous) nebulization of medications. By connecting an infusion tube on one side to the Luer adapter of the nebulizer and on the other to an infusion bag, and thanks to an infusion pump or syringe pump, a constant dosage of the medication is ensured.
The Aeroneb Solo System is extremely quiet during operation: 35 dB measured at 0.3 m distance. The Aeroneb Pro-X control module works with a power supply c.a./c.c.. Thanks to an internal, rechargeable battery, an autonomy of up to 45 minutes is guaranteed. As it operates without compressed gas, it's suitable for portable applications.
The Aeroneb Solo Starter Kit also includes a universal mounting bracket and mounting adapter that allow the Control Module to be attached to an IV pole or standard fan posts.
