The objective lens is installed on a polarizing microscope and operates under transmitted polarized light conditions. It is equipped with optics that do not create distortions or internal deformations, so the lenses do not affect the results of the observations.
The planachromatic lens eliminates optical distortions: chromatic aberration for red and blue colors and spherical aberration for green colors. These types of lenses are characterized by a curvature of the field of view that is 90% corrected. The image is displayed equally in the center and in the peripheral area of the field of view, so the lens is suitable for digital cameras (to obtain images with a wide field of view) and wide-field eyepieces with a field of view of 22 mm.
The MAGUS SF5 lens is designed for an infinitely correct optical system. The parfocal distance is 45 mm. You must cover the specimen with a 0.17 mm coverslip.
The possible magnification of a microscope with a 5x objective lens installed will range from 60x to 120x, depending on the magnification of the eyepiece. Eyepieces from 10x to 25x are recommended. A higher magnification will not provide new data, and a lower magnification of 60x will not allow you to examine the lens in detail.
