Description

INOGEN ONE G4 - Portable Oxygen Concentrator

The smallest and lightest oxygen concentrator in the world has finally arrived: only 1.27 kg and 3 lt/min

The Inogen One G4 Portable Oxygen Concentrator is currently the only portable device in the world with a weight of less than 2 kg and a saturation capacity identical to that of the liquid oxygen cylinder.

This concentrator is compatible with patients suffering from COPD or emphysema in the early stages of their condition.

  • The lightest concentrator in the world
  • The smallest concentrator in the world
  • Almost no maintenance

How does that work
The Inogen One G4 oxygen concentrator extracts oxygen from the surrounding air: thanks to a zeolite filtration system, it is able to generate pure oxygen up to a maximum flow rate of 3 litres/minute.

Oxygen delivery is done with pulsed flow technology: when the patient inhales, oxygen is released, when the patient exhales, the device does not deliver oxygen.

This system is optimal from a rehabilitation point of view: the patient who uses the upper airways is able to achieve better saturation, to fatigue less and to contain the degeneration of respiratory pathology.

Maintenance is virtually zero: just clean the mesh filter once a week (e.g. under water) and replace the molecular sieves every 1.5-2 years.

A priceless psychological benefit
It is a fact that 46% of newly diagnosed patients fall into a depressive state within the first 6 months of therapy. The anxiety generated by the use of oxygen cylinders, limited in duration and extremely heavy, is often underestimated by pulmonologists and physiotherapists.

Inogen One G4 gives back the freedom of life to all those patients who feel "inancestored" at home: the possibility of going out of the house without having time and space limits allows patients to live the therapy with the utmost serenity and to get out of the nightmare of oxygen cylinders.

No time limit
The most important difference is in autonomy.

The portable liquid oxygen cylinder has a great limitation: once the contents have been finished (after 3-4 hours) the only alternative is to go home to refill it from the mother cylinder.

The Inogen One G4 oxygen concentrator, on the other hand, has no time limit: the batteries last about 4 hours, but when they are about to run out, it is possible to connect to any power source (even in the car) and recharge the batteries while the concentrator continues to work. Just like mobile phones!

Plane, car, ship, train, everywhere...
With the Inogen One G4 concentrator you can take any means of transport without any limits. In particular, it is authorized on board any aircraft. In fact, airlines all over the world authorize the entire Inogen range without any problem. And in the case of intercontinental flights, it is possible to power the device with the power supply available in the armrest.

No one like him
It is the smallest, but above all lightest concentrator in the world. No concentrator weighs less than 2 kg, with the exception of the Airsep Focus, which cannot be considered an oxygen concentrator as it does not generate sufficient flow rates to do oxygen therapy (less than 1 liter/minute).

The device is available in 2 versions:
- Inogen One G4 with 4-cell battery - 2 hours duration - weight 1.27 kg
- Inogen One G4 with 8-cell battery - duration 4 hours - weight 1.52 kg

Respiratory rehabilitation.... Included
Inogen One G4 allows patients a natural respiratory rehabilitation: thanks to the "on demand" flow, the patient is able to breathe correctly through the nose without the aid of the mouth, often used during exertion. In this way, the saturation is higher and in the long term the patient is able to contain the increase in oxygen flows.

The Inogen One G4 Portable Oxygen Concentrator is indicated for people with the following conditions:
- Chronic disorders and diseases: COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). COPD is a progressive disease in which lesions in the alveoli prevent the passage of enough oxygen into the blood. The adjective "progressive" means that the condition tends to worsen over time.
- Severe heart failure: In this disorder, the heart is unable to pump enough oxygen-rich blood to meet the body's needs.
-Cystic fibrosis: Cystic fibrosis is an inherited disease of the exocrine glands, including those that produce mucus and sweat. In patients suffering from cystic fibrosis, the airways fill with thick, sticky mucus, which facilitates the proliferation of bacteria, causing severe and recurrent lung infections. Over time, infections can severely damage the lungs.
- Sleep-related breathing disorders that cause the oxygen level to drop during sleep, such as sleep apnea.
- Cluster headache: It is an extremely painful primary neurovascular headache. It is periodic, with active phases alternating with phases of spontaneous remission. These active phases are called "clusters" (or "clusters").

Acute disorders and pathologies
Severe pneumonia. Pneumonia is the infection of one or both lungs. If it is severe, it causes deep inflammation of the alveoli, which then cannot exchange enough oxygen with the blood.
Severe asthma attacks. Asthma is a lung disease that inflames and narrows the bronchi. Most asthma patients, including many children, can manage their symptoms safely, however, if the asthma attacks are severe, the patient may need hospitalization for oxygen therapy.
Respiratory distress syndrome or bronchopulmonary dysplasia in premature infants. Premature babies can suffer from one or both of these serious lung diseases. As part of therapy, they may receive oxygen via a ventilator or a nasal mask with continuous positive pressure, or via a nasal cannula.

WARNING: the machine is recommended for patients who breathe up to 3 litres/min real under exertion

Routine maintenance:
Cleaning the particulate filter: this is a mesh filter placed on the front of the machine; can be removed manually. You need to clean it with running water once a week. It is important that no dust settles on either the outside or the inside of the net. The filter should only be replaced when the mesh is damaged or no longer adheres properly to the frame of the device.
Replacement of the antibacterial filter: the tablet located under the nozzle to which the nasal cannula is connected must be replaced once a year or when the device is used by a different patient from the previous one. To replace it, it is necessary to purchase the appropriate kit for removing the nozzle.

Extraordinary maintenance:
Zeolite filter replacement: these are the filters that separate nitrogen from oxygen and allow the device to carry out proper therapy. When the filters are used up, the machine will indicate the need for replacement through the display. Zeolite filters have an average life of about 2 years, but their duration varies depending on the hours of daily use and the quality of the air sucked in. Replacing filters is not covered by the device warranty. For replacement, just request a pair of filters from OxyStore, Inogen's official support for Italy. The replacement can be carried out independently by the patient.

Caution: It is advisable to keep the device running regularly. In case of prolonged inactivity (more than two weeks) it is necessary to disconnect the battery; if this is not done, problems may be encountered on the management of the electronics, which cause the device to freeze; If this condition occurs, you must contact support (such damage is not covered by warranty).
