Silver Line DS65 Welch Allyn sphygmomanometer with durashock technology, with one tube, with 50 mm dial, equipped with trigger for a gradual release of air and customizable labels with identification data, such as the name of the facility or department, etc.
All Welch Allyn sphygmomanometers of both the "Silver Line" and the "Gold Line" are equipped with a computer-calibrated pressure gauge with laser graphics and a custom dial that accurately reflects the measurements of the internal DuraShock aneroid movement. This production process, which is exclusive to Welch Allyn, guarantees the sphygmomanometer unparalleled accuracy.
In the traditional aneroid sphygmomanometer, several delicate gears and springs convert and amplify the vertical movement of the pinion into rotational motion to rotate the cursor. The gearless DuraShock technology uses a single helical spring to directly convert the vertical movement of the pinion gear into the rotary movement of the slider without the aid of multi-step gears.
Thanks to DuraShock technology, blood pressure monitors Welch Allyn:
- Maintain calibration longer than traditional geared sphygmomanometers, thus ensuring more accurate measurements
- They do not have to be replaced as frequently as conventional geared sphygmomanometers, thus saving costs in the long run
- they are equipped with the only pressure gauge that complies with the AAMI (Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation) shock resistance specification: resistance to falling from a height of 76 cm on a hard surface without any alteration in calibration.
By creating a gearless system, Welch Allyn created a pressure gauge with fewer moving parts, impact-resistant and lighter than traditional pressure gauges.
Until now, accidental dropping of the sphygmomanometer required it to be recalibrated or replaced.
DuraShock, on the other hand, can fall from a height of 76 cm on a hard surface while maintaining its accuracy, and is the only pressure gauge that complies with the AAMI shock resistance specification
(Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation).
