MEDIHONEY HCS is a hybrid device that combines colloidal hydrogel (CMC) technology with MEDIHONEY MEDICAL ANTIBACTERIAL HONEY (63%) and a patented super absorbent polymer (SAP) for increased fluid handling capacity.
The bandage is designed for dry and/or slightly exuding wounds; CMC/SAP combined with MEDIHONEY forms a hydrophilic gel that locks the moisture of the wound in the bandage itself, modulating the maceration. MEDIHONEY HCS, formulated in this way, is moisturizing, soothing and refreshing.
The degree of breathability is: MVTR= 595 (g/sqm/24 h). (MVTR= Moisture vapor transmission rate)
It does not contain glycerin.
The dressing is waterproof.
Sterile.
Available with both ADHESIVE and NON-ADHESIVE edges. The
MEDIHONEY HCS version with ADHESIVE edge does not require the application of a secondary dressing.
