PERISPHERA Model " A "

4-electrode anal probe, for perineal re-education, by electrostimulation and EMG biofeedback

Intended for the treatment of male patients with post-prostatectomy urinary incontinence outcomes or patients with defecation disorders. The insertion depth is adjustable, from 40 to 55 mm, according to the anatomical constitution of the patient, by means of the 4-position rear flange which also determines the correct orientation of the probe. The 4 electrodes (2 front and 2 rear) can be connected to two separate channels of the electromedical device or to a single channel (using special "Y" wired adapters).

The type of connection of the 4 electrodes allows you to selectively treat the puborectalis muscle and the internal anal sphincter. The end of the probe, intended to pass the anal sphincter to be inserted into the rectal ampulla, has a spheroidal shape suitably flattened to limit interference with a prostate of increased volume, in the treatment of male patients with benign prostatic hypertrophy.

PERISPHERA perineal probes are made entirely of plastic material

Biocompatible, with gold metallized electrodes.

The electrical connection with the EMG stimulation or biofeedback unit is achieved

by means of two or four wires (length approx. 20 cm) with female banana termination

2mm. The probe can be used with any equipment

of perineal electrostimulation, provided that it is able to deliver pulses

symmetrical bi-phasic (with zero mean value).
