The structures are numbered and identified by the relative serial numbers supplied with the product. In addition, countless insights are provided by the guide on CD-Rom.
The head is in an open shape that leaves half of the brain exposed.
The neck is dissected ventrally in order to best show the muscular, neural and glandular structures. The chest and abdomen, completely open, allow an unrestricted view of the organs and internal details.
The following removable structures are included in the anthomic model:
- Half of the brain, dissected along the longitudinal fissure, complete with internal structures and blood vessels
- Eyes with optic nerve and extra-ocular muscles
- Descending thoracic aorta and esophagus
- Right and left lungs show bronchial tree and vascular elements
- Two-part heart illustrates the atria, ventricles, heart valves, and section through the ventricular wall of the heart.
- Half of the kidney, dissected along the frontal plane in order to better show the internal structures and blood vessels
- Kidney, urethra and bladder, with prostate (removable in two parts)
- Stomach, visualize muscular and vascular structures
- Pancreas, duodenum and spleen with blood vessels and ducts
