These fumes consist mainly of water vapor, organic gases, visible or invisible solid particles, and viral particles. Good suction and filtration eliminates bad odors, reduces bacteriological and/or viral risks and solves the problem of optimal vision of the intervention area during laparoscopic procedures.

The activation of suction can take place:
- Automatically, by means of the remote electronic system for automatic detection of the activation of a high-frequency electrosurgical unit
- Manually, acting directly on the unit
- Via a foot control (optional)
The suction flow can be adjusted so that it can be adapted to individual requirements.

For laparoscopic procedures, there is a specific function that can be quickly recalled. It has an electronic suction control with indication of the state of wear of the filters. Two types of filter are available, quickly replaceable and consisting of ULPA type filtration, with an activated carbon stage: the BLUE filter is the standard filter supplied with the unit, for an initial time of use (5 hours), The RED filter is an optional replacement filter, ideal for a long time of use (20 hours).
