Aerosol therapy is a method of administering drugs, for chronic and acute diseases of the respiratory system, which is increasingly popular with both general practitioners and specialists. This is due to the possibility of bringing the drug with maximum effectiveness where it is needed, minimizing side effects. The most common technique for applying aerosol therapy is to exploit the air pressure obtained with a compressor, conveying it inside a nebulizer (ampoule), which, using the well-known Venturi principle, allows the nebulized flow to be channeled into the respiratory tract through special accessories (mask, mouthpiece and noses).
