ASKINA SILNET - 5X7,5CM
Askina® SilNet is a sterile, water-repellent, thin, porous, low-adhesion contact dressing made of a conformable non-woven material and coated on both sides with a soft silicone layer.
In contact with the wound, Askina® SilNet allows the exudate to pass to an absorbent secondary dressing, thus preventing maceration of the periwound edges. The low adhesion of the soft silicone layer minimizes the risk of trauma when changing the dressing.
Askina® SilNet does not absorb wound exudate.
Directions for use
Askina SilNet is indicated for the treatment of a wide range of full-thickness® or partial-thickness wounds such as second-degree burns, skin grafts, harvesting sites, post-operative wounds, brittle skin lacerations, other types of lacerations, stage I to IV pressure ulcers, venous, arterial and neuropathic ulcers.
Askina® SilNet is compatible with topical negative pressure therapy and topical ointment application.
It can be left in situ for up to 14 days.
Do not use Askina SilNet for ulcers resulting from infections such as tuberculosis, syphilis or deep fungal infections, and for third-degree® burns. Do not use excessive pressure on the Askina® SilNet when using it on mesh couplings. Replace 5 days after skin graft fixation.
Using Askina® SilNet:
• Minimizes trauma during dressing changes
