Description

Podcare 6.0
Podcare 6.0 is a lightweight and portable device, suitable to be carried with you at all times if you carry out treatments in multiple clinics.

Podcare 6.0 is the ideal device for podiatric applications of the foot and ankle but is completed with a series of other specific programs for ulcers, wounds and musculoskeletal disorders.

The device is designed for professional podiatric treatments and is equipped with an 808nm diode with a maximum power of 6W.

List of programs with 808 nm wavelength
- Specific programs for podiatry: Onychocryptosis – Onychomycosis – Extensor tendinitis – Distal tendinopathies – Achilles tendonitis – Ankle tendonitis – Morton's neuroma – Raynaud's disease
- Skeletal muscle: Osteoarthritis – Rheumatoid arthritis – Muscle injuries – Muscle contracture – Radiculopathies – Tendinopathies – Neuralgia – Post-herpetic neuralgia – Bursitis – Edema
-Dermatology: Ulcers – Ulcer healing – Wounds

Podiatry with laser
The GLOBUS Podcare laser therapy models, in addition to offering a variety of programs for the treatment of pathologies located in all anatomical districts, have a large section dedicated to foot problems.

Treatment of nail problems: Onychomycosis
It is a fungal infection that mainly affects the toenails as it is the part most exposed to heat and humidity. The infection presents with the maceration of the keratin which generally takes on a yellowish color. The laser creates a photothermomolic effect on the nail, consisting of laser light and progressive heating at high temperature, which eliminates nail fungus.

The treatment of nervous problems: Morton's Neuroma
Morton's neuroma consists of a thickening of the interdigital nerve due to perineural fibrosis, i.e. the formation of fibrous scar tissue. The cause of this fibrosis is friction on the nerve of the metatarsal bones. Morton's neuroma is usually located in the interdigital space between the third and fourth metatarsals, since at this level the metatarsal bones are more mobile. Localization between the second and third metatarsals is less frequent, while localizations in the remaining interdigital spaces are rare. Laser therapy is used to reduce pain under the foot (analgesic purpose) and to reduce inflammation due to fracture on the nerve of the metatarsal bones (anti-inflammatory purpose).
