We are proud to introduce you to the Discoveryline of optical instruments, produced by Levenhuk and sponsored by Discovery.
See a brief comparison of the microscope series Discovery »
The Levenhuk Discovery Femto Polar is a classic monocular microscope that makes it possible to examine the microcosm in both reflected and transmitted light, with a magnification between 40x and 400x. It is able to show the cellular structure of plants and insects, life in a drop of water, protozoa and much more. This microscope is a great assistant for teachers who want to conduct simple biology experiments directly in the classroom. In addition, a book full of information about the microcosm is included. Reading it makes the experiments even more interesting and varied.
Achromatic optics allow you to view samples clearly and in detail. The instrument's nosepiece revolver is equipped with three objectives: 4x, 10x and 40x with spring. The wide-field eyepiece offers a clear 10x view. The monocular head has an ergonomic inclination of 45°, thus making prolonged observations more comfortable. In addition, the head rotates 360 around the vertical axis, which is optimal for group experiments. The microscope does not need to be moved to share image observation with a research partner, as the head can be rotated as needed. The instrument is equipped with separate knobs for macro and micrometer focusing, thus making it possible to adjust the resolution smoothly.
The lighting system consists of LED lights positioned above and below the coffee table and equipped with brightness adjustment. The bottom light is modulated by a disc diaphragm, which helps control its brightness. The instrument is powered by batteries (not included) or by mains power (AC adapter included). The coffee table is equipped with clips for attaching slides.
The book titled "Invisible World" is a fascinating addition to the microscope. It illustrates the microcosm and various scientific experiments. It is written in easily understandable language and contains brightly colored illustrations. Historical facts about the birth of microscopy and theoretical explanations of microorganisms are narrated, as well as experiments that can be reproduced directly at home using the Levenhuk Discovery Femto Polar microscope.
